The deflector-roller (10) for conveyor-belts consists of a rotationally symmetrical drum (11) with bearing-pins (16,16') sticking out from the ends (15,15'). Hub-holes (12) extend inwards from the drum (11) ends (15,15') and have fitting into them sections (18,18') of the bearing-pins (16,16'). The drum's (11) outer surface has longitudinal grooves (14) opening radially outwards, and into which fit foam rubber or other cords (20). The cords (20) stick out radially beyond the drum's (11) outer periphery and are shorter than the axial length of the drum and leave, at both ends, an equal edge-strip (22,22') of the drum. USE/ADVANTAGE - The deflector roller for conveyor-belts and such like has a better frictional coefft. and adhesive coating.
