摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an enough drive force required during the restarting of a vehicle by a method wherein during operation of an antilock brake device, based on car body deceleration, a relation for control of a speed ratio suitable for a road surface friction state is selected from a plurality of relations. CONSTITUTION:Since car body deceleration calculated by an ECU 64 for ABS by means of signals from wheel speed sensors 56, 58, 60, and 62 responds to s read surface friction factor, an ECU 51 for CVT selects a relation suitable to the road surface friction factor from a plurality of kinds of relations for control of a speed ratio based on actual car body deceleration. Even when during operation of the ECU 64 for ABS, the road surface friction faction is changed, the speed ratio of a continuously variable transmission 16 is controlled according to s responding relation. Thus, even when, during operation of an antilock brake device, for example, a change from a frozen road surface to a pressure snow road surface having a slightly higher road surface friction factor is produced, during a stop, the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is returned to the lowmost deceleration side, and a drive force required during restarting can be provided.
