PURPOSE:To reduce internal resistance and to obtain heavy load discharge characteristics by a construction wherein fine and coarse grains of carbon are mixed together and the mixture reduced to a gel state is made to adhere to the inside surface of a cell case so as to form a carbon film with a convex in organic solvent cells, alkaline cells and the like. CONSTITUTION:There are shown a cell case 2 made of stainless steel and used as an anode terminal, and a conductive carbon film 3 coated with a gelled dispersant liquid prepared by evenly mixing fine carbon powder that can be made into colloid 0.1-0.3mu in diameter with coarse carbon grains. A surface contacting the anode of the cell case is coated with a dispersant liquid to form a carbon film supplied with a number of fine sharp convex portions. Thus a cell with smaller internal resistance can be obtained and this construction is applicable to alkaline cells, multilayer cells and the like. It is also utilized for current collectors in cathodes. |
