<p>Needle holders 9 in each of which a needle 8 is detachably held are supported at prescribed positions on or below a base member 10 which is supported on a support surface 1 with the needles directed upward. A lower air-impermeable sheet 14 larger than patterned sheets 15a to be stacked is impaled on the needles and supported on the support surface via the base member. The patterned sheets are impaled on the needles while the positions of patterns on the patterned sheets are matched. The upper surface of the stack and its side surfaces, other than a side thereof opposing a suction port 3a, are covered with an upper air-impermeable sheet 13 larger than the patterned sheets and impaled on the needles 8. The stack is compressed and held on the support surface under suction from the suction port. The needles are then extracted from their holders 9, the stack and the air-impermeable sheets, and the needle holders and base member are extracted from between the support surface and the lower air-impermeable sheet. The stack and the sheets 13, 14 are cut by a manually-guided or automatic cutter while held by suction from port 3a. <IMAGE></p> |
