PURPOSE:To make it possible to dry up a sheet having low degree of strength without hindrance using non-expensive equipment by a method wherein thrown down sheets are supported by shelf plates, with which the sheets are arranged one by one from the position at lower part, and the sheets are dried up by arranging them in a meandering manner. CONSTITUTION:A sheet A, which is fed in a throw-off manner, is supported by shelf plates 23 which are arranged upward successively in conformity with the movement of the sheet A, the sheet A is dried up by heating in the state wherein it is arranged in a meandering manner supported by a plurality of vertically arranged shelf plates 23, and a polarizable electrode is punched out or cut off from the sheet A. At this time, the sheet A shrinks when it is dried by hot air, but as it is supported by a laying member 31 provided on each shelf plate 23, the sheet can be moved freely on the shelf plate 23, and besides, the shifting by the shrinkage generated when drying can be permitted by the sagged parts (a) formed on both sides of the shelf plates. As a result, the thin sheet A having low degree of strength can be dried up without hindrance, and a polarizable electrode for an electric capacitor can be obtained at low cost. |
