PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a torque shock by setting the operating speed of an exhaust cut valve provided on the exhaust passage of the secondary turbosupercharger side in the closing action slower when the shift state of a transmission is located at the lower speed stage. CONSTITUTION:Two exhaust passages 202 and 203 arranged with turbines 205 and 207 of the primary and secondary turbosuperchargers 204 and 206 connected to cylinders are communicated to each other by a communicating path 222 at the upstream of superchargers 204 and 206, and an exhaust cut valve 223 is provided at the immediate downstream of the opening position of the communicating path 222 on an exhaust passage 203 on the secondary side. The operating speed of the exhaust cut valve 223 can be adjusted by an adjusting means (duty solenoid valve) 256, and this adjusting means 256 sets the operating speed during the closing action of the exhaust cut valve 223 lower based on a shift sensor 257 detecting the shift stage of a transmission 208 as the shift stage is located at the lower speed stage. |
