<p>The invention relates to an animal repellent composition and also to its use in a molluscicide bait. The animal repellent composition comprises a first animal repellent component; a second component which includes a synergistic amount of at least one alkaloid and a carrier, wherein the first and second components do not occur together in nature. The bait composition for use against molluscs comprises a molluscicide, a mollusc attractant, a first animal repellent component and a synergistic amount of a second component which includes at least one alkaloid, wherein the first and second components do not occur together in nature. The new molluscicide bait of the invention is repellent to domestic pets and the poisoning of cats and dogs is thus avoided, when the molluscicide bait is used in a method of protecting plants.</p> |
