PURPOSE: To switch a cartridge to a normally opening state from a normally closing state or vice versa using the cartridge and a valve assembly with the same structure and of the same specifications by shifting a poppet flat face so as to make the poppet flat face abut on a first valve seat or second valve seat together with the shift of a stem. CONSTITUTION: A poppet assembly 44 includes the piston 52 slidably and sealingly arranged in the small diameter hole 14d of an inner hole 14, stem 54 including a first and second narrow members 56 and 58 of the same structure and of the same specifications, and a poppet member 60. With a cartridge 20 normally opened, resisting force against the force of a spring 61 is applied to the piston 52 by making pressure bleed air flow to a portion above the inner hole 14 by selectively exciting a magnetic coil 32. This moves a poppet surface 62a in the direction to make it abut on and engage with a first valve seat 46c. With the cartridge 20 normally closed, the spring 61 is pressed to make the poppet surface 62a abut on and engage with a second valve seat 46d, and this moves the gas surface 62a of the bleed air working on the piston 52 in the direction to separate it from the valve seat 46d. |
