<p>PURPOSE:To make it easy to insert a transferring claw between the lower portion of a body and a conveyor by charging fluid in a suspension damper before the damper is fitted to the body on the conveyor, and urging the damper under an expansion condition to prevent the body from kneeling down. CONSTITUTION:An air filling unit is connected to the joint member 8 of a piston rod 4 for a suspension damper 19 prior to fitting, on a fitting station for the damper 19. Compressed air is flowed in the hydraulic chamber 3a of a hydraulic cylinder 3 via a supply/discharge passage 7 in a piston rod 4 to expand the hydraulic cylinder. The compressed air is flowed in a gasspring 10 hydraulic chamber 13 from a communicating passage 15, the gas in a gas chamber 14 is compressed by a free piston 12, so that constant suspension functions can be exhibited. The damper 19 under this condition is fitted to a body 1 and a tire 2 so that the kneeling-down of the body due to its dead weight becomes small and a gap between the body 1 and a conveyor face becomes wide to make it easy to insert or withdraw a transferring claw.</p> |
