PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of wire movement and quenching when an excitation operation is conducted by a method wherein superconducting wires, on which an electric insulation coating is provided and a selfwelding layer is formed, have been wound on a bobbin while the prescribed tension is being added, the self-welding layer is melted by heating, and the superconducting wires are adhered to each other. CONSTITUTION:After superconducting wires 1, provided with an electric insulating coating and a self-welding layer 6 thereon, have been wound on a bobbin while the prescribed tension is being added, the selfwelding layer 6 is melted by heating, and then the superconducting wires are cooled down and adhered to each other. A bonding agent, having a self-fusion welding property such as epoxy, polyvinyl butyral and the like that entirely have no adhesiveness at room temperature, is used as the self-fusion welding layer 6. As a result, the superconducting wires are firmly adhered to each other, wire movement is eliminated by the remaining tension on the superconducting wire even when the superconducting wires are contracted by cooling, and the occurrence of quenching can also be prevented. |
