Stabilizing Frame for Railroad Trucks In a railroad truck having a frame which is insufficiently stiff in thehorizontal shear direction a sub-frame is provided, interposed between the frame and the axles, which adds required stiffness in the shear direction without materially affecting the flexibility in the twisting direction. The sub-frame may also be combined with resilient elements at the bearing adapters to provide the optimum values of stiffness for the truck.
