PURPOSE:To improve the light stabilizing property so as to secure high open circuit voltage of a battery by connecting, in series in the film face direction, solar batteries wherein p-i-n junctions formed in film thickness direction are connected electrically in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The position in film face direction of each amorphous solar battery element is determined at the point of time when plural first transparent electrode layers 4 are formed separately on an insulating substrate 2. A first p-i-n junction 10 is formed entirely thereon including the gap between respective first transparent electrode layers 4. On this, plural second transparent electrode layers 14 corresponding to respective first transparent electrode layers 4 are formed separately so that each may straddle adjacent electrode layers 4. Furthermore, on this, a second p-i-n junction 20 in the reverse direction to the first junction 10 is formed. Next, at each position where the first transparent electrode layer 4 and the second transparent electrode layer 14 overlap each other, the second junction 20, the second transparent electrode layer 14, the first junction 10, and the first transparent electrode layer 4 are removed partially, and then plural outside electrode layers 40 corresponding to respective first transparent electrode layers 4 are formed separately so that they may cover these removed parts. Hereby, adjacent solar battery elements are connected in series by outside electrode layers 40. |
