PURPOSE:To stabilize the running of a vehicle by providing a second means for releasing automatically the supply of operating oil pressure to a friction engagement device selected among the friction engagement devices of an automatic transmission in response to the detection, by a first means, of nonconformity between the stepping-in quantity of an accelerator pedal and the opening of an intake throttle valve having exceeded the allowed limit. CONSTITUTION:Nonconformity between the stepping in quantity of an accelerator pedal 7 and the opening of an intake throttle valve 2 is detected, and when it exceeds the allowed limit, line oil pressure in the oil pressure control device of an automatic transmission is released by an oil pressure cut off device S. Power transmission can be thereby released appropriately, thus avoiding the generation of trouble in the running of a vehicle due to throttle opening becoming excessively large. |
