1513678 Bearing bushes REKTORAT SLOVENSKEJ VYSOKEJ SKOLY TECHNICKEJ 18 July 1975 [29 July 1974] 27695/77 Divided out of 1513677 Heading F2A [Also in Division B3] A bearing bush is made from strip or sheet material by contacting the outer and inner surfaces of a partially pre-bent strip 5 of the material with an expandable ring 1 and a resilient element 6 respectively; the expandable ring has a variable gap which can be adjusted by screws 29 and an internal diameter larger than that of the bush to be manufactured, the resilient element 6 is held between a carrier ring and a force transmitting bush, see Figure 2 (not shown) which are relatively movable so as to enable the element to be compressed along its axis with a hydraulic or pneumatic piston cylinder arrangement mounted on the base plate 3, the formed bush is cut with a cooperable cutting punch 23 and die 19, the die having a guide plate 22 which guides the punch 23 mounted on a beam extending through the centre of the expandable ring.
