The subject of the invention is a key-disabled switch for electrical or electronic equipment. As a result of turning the lock cylinder (3) by means of a key (2), a spring-biassed contact pin (7) provided on the switch is prevented, by means of a wedged control member (5), from actuating the membrane contacts (8, 9). Thus unauthorized use of the equipment is prevented in a simple manner. A further advantage of this arrangement is that the key-operated switch can easily be integrated in a membrane-type keyboard of a typewriter, computer, cash register or telephone. <IMAGE> |
