PURPOSE:To provide an amorphous solar cell having a high optical stability and a high efficiency by electrically isolating at least partial junction when a plurality of junctions are formed in a film thickness direction, and then connecting them in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A p-type amorphous semiconductor layer 11, an i-type amorphous semiconductor layer 12 and an n-type amorphous semiconductor layer 13 are sequentially formed on a glass substrate 2 formed with a transparent electrode layer 4 to form a p-i-n junction 10, a second transparent electrode layer 14, a transmissive insulating layer 16 and a third transparent electrode layer 18 are formed thereon, a p-i-n junction 20 of a second stage is formed, the layer 4 is electrically connected to the layer 18, and the layer 14 is electrically connected to a rear surface outer electrode layer 40. A rear surface side i-type layer 22 can be considerably reduced in thickness, and optical deterioration of a battery is largely alleviated. |
