This method is to be used for the examination under conditions nearest to those of the actual welding process. The method ensures alloying of two and more metals at a specified ratio by which the participation of the basic and additional material is simulated in the formation of the metal seam under a fully simulated welding thermal cycle. The method's essence consists in heating a metal sample in a protective environment, melting, drop formation, which encompasses a thermocouple, and formation of hot thermal weld. The thermal weld is cooled and the aggregate and phase transformations are registered. A composite metal sample is formed by the method. Before being heated the sample is fixed to the thermocouple and its alloying occurs after melting.
