PURPOSE:To ensure that a pipe is efficiently cooled without being floated in a water tank and is not collapsed by a take-up device by a method wherein a plastic pipe sequentially delivered is passed through the water tank and the take- up device in the condition of being filled with a liquid. CONSTITUTION:A liquid having a specific gravity of nearly equal to or higher than that of water contained in the water tank 4 is preliminarily charged into the plastic pipe P when the pipe P is wound on a letting-out drum 1. The pipe P let out from the drum 1 is reinforced by wounding a stainless steel tape T thereon by a tape winder 3. Then, the pipe P is coated with polyethylene by extruder 2 to form an anti-corrosive layer for the cooling pipe C. Subsequently, the pipe P is cooled by passing it through the water tank 4, drawn by a caterpillar-type take-up device 5 and is taken up around a take-up drum 6. |
