<p>PURPOSE:To suppress diagonal conveyance of paper with pressing force equalized of both separator rollers for the paper during its conveyance by providing a restricting means which is engaged with a pawl of a ratchet wheel, when necessary, to restrict turning both the separator rollers. CONSTITUTION:In the case of conveying paper by a paper feed roller 2, in a restricting means 6, a two-sheet feed (double feed) of the paper is prevented by restricting turning a pair of separator rollers 3, 4 brought into press contact with the paper, but turn restriction of the separator roller by the restricting means is performed by engaging a pawl member 64 with a pawl 51 of a ratchet wheel 5 interposed between the pair of separator rollers. Thus by restricting turning in the intermediate between both the separator rollers, reaction force to a side of the paper feed roller for the turn restriction acts on the intermediate part between both the separator rollers, and the separator rollers are prevented from tilting for the paper feed roller. Accordingly, pressing force of both the separator rollers is equalized for the paper during its conveyance, and diagonal conveyance of the paper can be suppressed.</p> |
