PURPOSE:To lower rigidity partially by providing plural protruding parts in multi-stages through plural dent parts and providing the lower periphery of the protruding part in the uppermost stage with plural recessed parts formed circumferentially at specified spaces apart. CONSTITUTION:Three protruding parts 13-15 are formed in multi-stages at the periphery of a bumper body 11 through two annular dent parts 12. When compressive load acts upon the bumper body 11, each dent part 12 is crush- deformed, so that the respective protruding parts 13-15 are mutually brought into contact. When the respective protruding parts 13-15 start their compressive deformation, the protruding part 13 in the lowest stage is compressively deformed in the relatively flexible state while being enlarged radially. The protruding part 14 in the intermediate stage is compressively deformed in the flexible state, with one part of its upper end part being absorbed gradually into a recessed part 17. The rigidity of each protruding part is thus lowered partially. |
