Locking device pertaining to a container having supporting legs 5 which are each movably mounted in their respective leg stand 2 arranged preferably but not necessarily pivotably on the container and which are each at their ends connected to a member 7, which transmits movement from drive members, for achieving relative movement between the container and supporting legs 5 for the purpose of raising or lowering the container relative to the supporting legs or vice versa, the task of the locking device being to prevent inadvertent movement of the container in the event of, for example, breakage of one or more of the movement-transmission members 7. To this end, the device comprises a catch 22 disposed in each leg stand 2 and having a gripping member 29 for locking engagement with an associated supporting leg 5 and a trip member 31, which detects the tension in the movement-transmission member 7, for tripping the catch 22 in the event of a loss of tension in the movement- transmission member 7. <IMAGE> |
