PURPOSE:To obtain a color display whose color reproducibility is satisfactory by using a liquid crystal panel in which thickness of its liquid crystal layer is set to prescribed thickness in accordance with a hue of a color polarize, as a liquid crystal retarder. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel in which thickness of its liquid crystal layer is set to prescribed thickness in accordance with a hue of a color polarizer is used as a liquid crystal retarder. In this case, in a liquid crystal color display device using a color polarizer 23, a color display whose color reproducibility is high can be executed. In such a way, by selecting the combination of various color polarizers, an excellent color display can be executed. |
