Stacking container with reinforced ribbed base

The stackable box like container has a specially shaped base provided on its underneath with a reinforcement ribbing which comprises at least longitudinal and transverse webs. The longitudinal and transverse webs are provided with flat parallel support and/or runner faces lying in the same plane and spread out over a predetermined width parallel to the longitudinal and side walls. At least the outer webs (14a,15a) in the corner areas of the container are connected by rounded sections with relatively large radius to form a one piece frame with the webs running at a predetermined distance from the outer container border (24) to form a step (25) therewith. Several parallel spaced channels (28) are provided in the reinforcement ribbing to take optional additional reinforcement sections (29) such as a tube wherein the maximum suction hieght of the channels is less than the section height of the webs forming the support surface.
