INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD, INFORMATION REPRODUCING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To simply the circuit configuration for recording and reproducing of the recording medium by using the recording medium on which reproduction-only information is previously recorded and formed by the displacement is the transverse direction of tracks and recording main information by the same recording system. CONSTITUTION:A magneto-optical disk 10 has a recording-only region 12 and a region 13 which is previously written with the reproduction-only data by the displacement in the transverse direction of the tracks and can be recorded with the information (main information) in the track direction as well. The laser beam from a laser light source 22 passes a collimator lens 23, a beam splitter (BS) 24 and an objective lens 25. The disk 10 is irradiated with this beam. The reflected beam is reflected by the BS 24 and is inputted via an optical system 26 and a polarized light BS 27 to photodetectors 28, 29. The recording signal by the displacement in the transverse directions of the tracks fromthe detector 28 is inputted to the terminal (b) of a selector switch 31 to be selected and the data which is demodulated via a demodulating circuit 33 and a decoding circuit 35 and is thereby corrected in error is outputted from a data output terminal 37.
