The support device consists of a telescopic mast interposed between a control box (1) for the active parts of a machine hitched up to a tractor, and the connection members interposed between the said machine and the said tractor. This support device consists of a spring-shaped leg (5) which supports the telescopic mast (4), offering a degree of freedom for this telescopic mast inside a cone the vertex angle of which is of the order of 30 DEG . The telescopic mast (4) encloses thrust cylinders (17) with a spring and with a gas damper, which balance out the weight of the box (1). The position of the box (1) can be adjusted vertically at the top of the telescopic mast (4). This box (1) is enclosed in a casing (3) which is equipped with orifices (21, 22) allowing it to be anchored on the tractor in order to immobilise it with respect to the tractor whilst retaining possibilities of oscillation. Such a device is particularly suitable for machines of the silo unloading type towed or carried by a tractor. <IMAGE>
