The invention relates to a method and a device for information for a blind operator on the success or otherwise of commands given using sound with the aid of musical fragments, and for display, in clear, of the information presented on the braille display device. The device consists of a central unit (1) which allows display of a fragment of line (2) which is on a screen (3). The screen has been refreshed by means of a link (4) from an information system (5). The information in a fragment of line (2) is displayed and at the same time codified on a braille dactyl display (6), and in clear on a conventional display device (7). The central unit is controlled by a keyboard (8) and informs the operator how his commands have fared, via a loudspeaker (9) controlled in its turn by a frequency synthesizer (10). The method and the device according to the invention are particularly intended for appliances adapted for the blind. <IMAGE>
