The invention concerns a trap, especially intended for small wild animals, the said trap comprising a frame 1, a striking member 2 which is joined to the frame and movable in relation to it, a spring element 3 joined to the frame and to the striking member for the purpose of moving the striking member, a locking device 4 for locking the striking member 4, and a release device 5 joined to the locking device 4 and used for opening the locking device and setting the striking member in motion. The currently used traps are difficult to set up and complicated. The trap according to the invention includes two essentially parallel supports 6 on the frame 1, and an attachment part 7 connecting one end of the support. The locking device 4 is secured to the other ends of the support 6, the striking member 2 is movably connected to the support 6 between the attachment part and the locking device, and the spring elements 3 are placed on both supports and arranged to displace the striking member in the direction of the attachment part 7 after the release device has opened the locking device. <IMAGE>
