发明名称 DEODORIZING APPARATUS OF REFREGIRATOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of deodorization and an ozone decomposing catalyst by forming suction and discharge openings in the upper surface of the casing of a deodorizer positioned on the upstream side an in the side surface of the casing of the deodorizer positioned on the downstream side, respectively, of a cold air current in a cold air return passage and providing the ozone decomposing catalyst as opposed to the discharge opening. CONSTITUTION:Cold air in a cold storage chamber 5 sucked from a suction opening 13 invades a casing 21 via a suction opening 26 to reach an ozone generator 22 to be made odorless. The remaining ozone is decomposed to oxygen O2 by an ozone decomposing catalyst 24 is not discharged from a discharge opening 27. The cold air circulates in the cold storage chamber 5 to contain the most odor components and has an excellent deodorizing efficiency. Although a decomposition efficiency is reduced at low temperatures, the ozone decomposing catalyst 24 can efficiently decompose ozone in a return passage 15 because a temperature therein is approximately above +3 deg.C. Since ozone has a specific gravity larger than that of the air, the ozone decomposing catalyst is unnecessary for the upper suction opening 26 and, since the discharge opening 27 is formed in the side surface 21b of the casing 21, the thickness of a partition wall 3 can be restricted to a minimum.
