The subject of the present invention is a machine for cutting up shoots or the small branches of shrubs. It consists of the combination of a framework (1) which can be coupled to a tractor and which supports, first of all, a vertical column of circular saw blades (3, 4) which are superimposed at adjustable intervals, surrounded with caps (11) preventing the bits from falling to the ground, then a bit propeller (7) communicating with the said caps, and finally a storage system consisting of a bin (skip) (10) or hopper and of a bagging device. It is intended to cut into bits and to gather the small branches of low shrubs, particularly vine stalk shoots and at the same time to trim the vegetation. <IMAGE>
