<p>PURPOSE:To provide a light weather-resistant bat excellent in repellence and shock resistance and difficult to be broken down, by forming the bat consisting of a hard foamed plastic ore body and a shell covering the outer periphery of the core body and composed of carbon fibers having a specified fiber diameter and thermoplastic resin and/or thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:A bat consists of a hard formed plastic core body and a shell covering the outer periphery of the core body. The shell is formed of a compound of carbon fibers having 0.01-4mum fiber diameter and thermoplastic resin and/or thermosetting resin. The thermoplastic resin used, though not being particularly limited to, it preferably polyamide, polycarbonate, ABS resin and denatured PPO resin or particularly preferably polyamide and ABS resin. As the thermosetting resin used are, e.g. phenol resin, furan resin, melamine resin, aniline resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin or the like. The rate of composition of carbon fiber in the resin compound containing carbon fiber is 5-50wt.%, preferably 10-30wt.%.</p> |
