PURPOSE:To improve the sharpness of an edge image by providing an eliminating means eliminating the electrified charge of the surface of a photosensitive body according to a non-image part except an original image and an adjusting means adjusting the range where the eliminating means eliminates the charge. CONSTITUTION:A conductive means 11 electrifies the surface of the photosensitive body 10, and exposing means 4 - 9 expose an original image to the surface of the photosensitive body 10 electrified by an electrifying means 11 and form a latent image thereon. A developing means 12 develops the latent image formed by the exposing means 4 - 9 on the photosensitive body 10. Image forming means 20 - 23 transfer a developer image developed by the developing means 12 to a material to be transferred P. Then, the eliminating means 28 eliminates the electrified charge of the surface of the photosensitive body 10 according to the non-image part except the original image, and the adjusting means 31, 32 and 43 adjust the range where the eliminating means 28 eliminates the charge. Thus, the sharpness of an edge image is improved. |
