A condensate and a method of preparing a condensate comprising bisphenols and aromatic aminosulfonic acids is disclosed, in particular, 4-aminobenzenesulfonic acid-2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) propane-formaldehyde type condensate. Uses of the condensates as a dispersant for disperse dye, additive for carbonaceous fine powder-water slurry, and water-reducing agent for cement are also disclosed.
