The arm has a fastening element (2) and a plurality of telescopic elements (3-7) arranged therein of decreasing diameter. The fastening elements and the telescopic elements are connected to each other by at least one kinematic chain which is formed by deflected tension members (8). The tension members (8), preferably steel strips, each connect three successive telescopic elements (3-7). They are attached to the outer two telescopic elements in each case and are deflected at the top and at the bottom around the central element. When the telescopic element (3) of the largest diameter is displaced relative to the fastening element (2), each further telescopic element (4-7) is displaced by a corresponding length in relation to its outer adjacent element. This arrangement results in a rigid telescopic arm of small constructional height which operates without jolting. |
