The material consists of a combination of a lower first layer (13) of a bituminous product loaded with heavy additives, such as talc, and of an upper second layer (14) of an elastic foam which covers the said first layer. According to the invention, the surface density of the first layer (13), proportional to its thickness, is, for a thickness of 2.3 mm, between 2.9 and 4.3 kg/m<2> and the surface density of the second layer (14), proportional to its thickness, is, for a thickness of 4 mm, between 1.5 kg/m<2> and 2.3 kg/m<2>. One application is the production of sound-insulating floorings, although of acceptable thicknesses. <IMAGE> |
