PURPOSE:To obtain an image pattern of high quality whose stagger in the contour part is inconspicuous automatically with simple constitution by generating visual half-tone brightness at the contour position of the image pattern. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means detects the contour part 111 of an original image pattern 100 consisting of dots and a discriminating means discriminates specific patterns A1 -A7 in the contour part 100 detected by the detecting means. Then a converting means converts the specific patterns A1-A7 which are discrimi nated by the discriminating means into half-tone brightness patterns B1-B7 and C1-C7 and a forming means detects an output image pattern 110' by using the half-tone brightness patterns B1-B7 and C1-C7 which are converted by the converting means as the contour part. Consequently, the image pattern of high quality whose contour part is not inconspicuous is obtained with the simple constitution. |
