PURPOSE:To uniformly disperse rare earths and to lower a fraction defective by adding a nitric acid soln. of the rare earths to powder essentially consisting of lanthanum fluoride or cerium fluoride. CONSTITUTION:The nitric acid soln. of 0.1 to 1.0mol% rare earths is incorporated as an additive into the powder essentially consisting of the lanthanum fluoride or cerium fluoride. The rare earths are uniformly dispersed into the powder by adding the rare earths in the form of the soln. to the powder in such a manner. A uniform electrode film is, therefore, obtd. and the fraction defective is lowered. The response speed of the sensor is increased and the performance as the sensor is improved. |
