<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a variable capacitor having a perfectly closed structure by which the number of steps required for manufacturing can be reduced by providing a sealing member comprising an elastic material at the inner surface of a cap which can rotatably accommodate a rotor and comprises a metal. CONSTITUTION:A cap 4 comprises a metal and has such a shape as to rotatably accommodate a rotor 3. An adjusting hole 17 for exposing a driver groove 15 is formed in the upper surface of the cap 4. The peripheral part of the adjusting hole 17 of the cap 4 serves as spring part 18 for applying spring action by which the rotor 3 is compressed to a stator 2. A sealing member 5 is arranged in the cap 4 under the state wherein the member 5 is in contact with the inner surface of the cap 4. The sealing member 5 comprises e.g. an elastic material such as silicone rubber. The rotor 3 is pushed to the stator 2 by the spring action of the spring part 18 formed in the cap 4. Thus adhesion between the rotor 3 and the stator 2 is enhanced. In this way, stable capacitance is formed.</p> |
