PROCEDURE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MOULDS, PATTERNS AND TOOLS MADE FROM PLASTER-BASED AND CEMENT-BASED MATERIALS

The specification discloses a procedure for the production of moulds, patterns and tools made from plaster-based and cement-based materials. The pattern to be copied is coated with a release agent, and to this pattern is applied at least one base layer consisting of a binding agent. To this base layer is then applied by the wet-on-wet method a glass-fibre-reinforced moulding compound consisting of 95 to 0 wt.% alpha-calcium-sulfate-hemihydrate, 0 to 95 wt.% cement, 0.5 to 8 wt.% glass fibres and 0.5 to 4 wt.% of an adjuvant, relative to the dry weight, as well as water. The laminate thus formed is removed once it has set.
