PURPOSE:To analyze time variation in fluorescent light intensity in two dimensions with time resolution of millisecond order or lower by providing a high-sensitivity TV camera, a pulse illumination light source, a stimulating device, and a timing signal generator. CONSTITUTION:The image processor is provided with the pulse illumination light source 4 which emits pulse exciting light during the blanking period of the high-sensitivity TV camera 5, the stimulating device 15 which stimulates a sample before a specific time of the light emission timing of the pulse illumination light source 4, and the timing signal generator 13 which generates a timing signal. Then the sample is, for example, a myocardial cell and when a fluorescent reagent is injected into it, the reagent is bonded to Ca<2+> with its internal carboxyl group. Then the sample is stimulated from outside, pulse light is supplied a specific time after the stimulation, and an image of the sample is picked up by the high-sensitivity TV camera. Consequently, fluorescent light variation can be analyzed in two dimensions with high time resolution. |
