PURPOSE:To automate the replacing operation of a backup pin and to shorten an arranging time required at the change of boards in type by a method wherein a mounting part is made able to hold a backup pin mounting head in place of a component mounting head. CONSTITUTION:When the position of a backup pin is required to be changed due to the change of boards in type, a mounting section is made to move to a stocker 7 and replaces a component mounting head mounted on it with a backup pin mounting head held by the stocker 7. A board backup unit 5 is provided with a backup pin base 20, two or more through-holes 21 are provided to the base 20. Backup pins 22 are inserted into the through-holes 21 in a detachable manner. An air cylinder is mounted on a deck 25 which fixes the pin base 20, the rod of the air cylinder is linked to the underside of the pin base 20, and when a board is delivered to a board positioning section 11 of a board conveyer 3, the rod is made to protrude to bring the backup pin 22 into contact with the board lifting up the backup pin base 20. |
