摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately find out a distance up to a target by separating pairs of graphics included in the same brightness band from other brightness bands to be a background, comparing the feature values of respective graphics to allow graphics to correspond to each other and determining a target graphic. CONSTITUTION:A pair of stereoscopic images measured by cameras 1, 2 are inputted to a device body 3. The stereo images are divided into plural pairs of images formed by images belonging to plural brightness bands. A graphic expressing the remarked target is separated from the background by a binarizing part to obtain plural pairs of binary images. Areas connected by thin lines out of these image pairs are divided into several areas. The feature values of respective graphics are calculated and the corresponding search of respective image pairs are executed to determine the corresponding pairs of graphics. then a distance from the position providing the stereoscopic image up to an object expressed by the graphic is calculated based upon the principle of triangular measuring method. The distances between the objects obtained in respective brightness bands and the position providing the stereoscopic image are averaged to measure the distance up to the remarked object.
