PURPOSE:To automatically shorten sheet feeding time of a printer by detecting forms handling option placing, and altering a stepping motor driving frequency. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse 11 for determining a driving frequency is supplied to a circuit having a distribution/exciter 3 to be controlled by a microprocessor 1 and a stepping motor 4 connected to the exciter 3. A signal selector 6 is connected to a clock pulse generator 2, presence or absence of forms handling option placing in a printer is detected as an option identification signal 12 by a forms handling option detector 5, the selector 6 is operated by its detection signal information, a slow clock pulse 13 and a fast clock pulse 14 are selected, and a driving clock pulse is generated. |
