PURPOSE:To reduce noise without deteriorating image forming ability by driving a cooling fan at a constant speed above a transferred material during an image forming operation, and also driving the cooling fan at a variable speed during stand-by for an image forming operation. CONSTITUTION:When the copying key of a consol panel 30 is operated, and instructions for copying is given, a main control part 70 generates signals for driving various motors, a solenoid, and an exposing lamp, etc.; consequently a copying operation is performed. When the copying machine main body is in the copying condition and an on/off signal, in the on-condition, and a switch signal H are supplied from the main control part 760, a fan motor 90 is driven at a high sped by a fan motor driving circuit 80. As a result, during copying, the cooling fan is rotated at such a rotating speed that it has maximum cooling ability. On the other hand, when the copying condition comes to a stand-by condition, a switch signal L is supplied to the fan motor driving circuit 80 to drive the fan motor 90 at a low speed. |
