摘要 PURPOSE:To detect benzodiazepine compound selectively with high sensitivity by heating the emitter electrode of a surface ionization detector to a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A gas including a sample component, that is, a benzodiazepine compound and flowing out from a column 2 is mixed with the air introduced from an air feed pipe 5 at a T joint 3. The gas including the sample component after being mixed with the air enters an ionization chamber 7 from the end of a silica nozzle 4. The gas entering the ionization chamber 7 is further mixed with the air of 30-200ml/min, and brought into touch with an emitter electrode 15 made of a metal heated to 700-800 deg.C. As a result of the thermal decomposition of the gas, positive ions are generated. In other words, the benzodiazepine compound is ionized and positive ions of the compound are generated. When the positive ions are caught by a collector electrode 11, the consequent change of the current is amplified by an electrometer 18 and recorded. Accordingly, the benzodiazepine compound can be selectively detected with high sensitivity.
