PURPOSE:To reduce the storage capacity of a conversion table without dropping the function of a symbol name and to reduce the production cost of a program forming device by composing a base part and an extension part to constitute each symbol name. CONSTITUTION:Instruction information from a keyboard 1 is divided into an instruction and an operand by a dividing circuit 2, the operand is investigated by a dividing circuit 4, and when the operand is constituted of a symbol name, the symbol name is further inputted to a dividing circuit 5. The circuit 5 decides the preceding and following sides of the symbol name respectively as a base part and an extension part by using division information as a key code and sends the decided result to a data memory address allocating circuit 8. The circuit 8 retrieves a base part address table 6 based upon the base part outputted from the circuit 5 and reads out an independent address. Simultaneous ly an input extension part retrieves an extension part address table 7 and reads out an address value corresponding to the extension part. Both addresses are added and the added value is allocated to a composed symbol name. The allocat ed address is sent to a user operand object forming circuit 8 and converted into an operand object, which is stored in a program memory 10.
