The present invention relates in brief to an armrest holder 16 for pivotal attachment of an arm support to a chair, especially to a substantially vertical backrest part of such a chair. The armrest holder 16 comprises a tubular part 17, for rotatable reception of a part of the armrest, and a U-profile-shaped part 18, which is constructed in one piece with the tubular part 17 and is intended to at least partially enclose the vertical backrest part. The U-profile-shaped part 18 is provided at the one end with members 26,27,28 for pivotal attachment to the vertical backrest part. At least the U- profile-shaped part 18 is made of flexible material and is constructed such that the distance between its flanges 24,25 at their free edges is less than the thickness of the backrest part which is at least partially enclosed by it. <IMAGE> |
