A rectangular container is made up from a base (11), a cover (12) parallel thereto, two mutually parallel faces (13, 14) and two mutually parallel sides (15, 16). The sides and faces are pivotably secured to the base via pivots parallel to the base so that the container may be collapsed into flat form when being transported empty. To simplify collapsing the container, at least the sides (15, 16) are sub-divided into sections (150, 154; 160, 164) which are hinged together. When the container is collapsed, the side sections (150, 154; 160, 164) are folded together about at least a second axis before they are lowered onto the base. |
