PURPOSE:To expand the controlling range for the amt. of the gas to be blown by mixing the gas and liquid suitably according to need just before the tuyeres provided to the bottom part or the side wall of a vessel, and blowing this mixture into the molten metal in the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A pipeline 5 which feeds a gas forcibly and a pipeline 6 which feeds liquid forcibly are provided between the tuyeres 3 of a converter 1 and a liquid CO2 source 4. Liquid CO2 is gasified by the evaporator 50 of the pipeline 5 and is fed forcibly through a pressure control valve 52, a flow control valve 53 and a check valve 54 by a gas pressure feed pump 51. On the other hand, the liquid CO2 is forcibly fed through a pressure control valve 62, a flow control valve 63 and a check valve 64 by a gas pressure feed pump 61. Both are mixed just before the tuyeres 3, and the mixture is blown into the molten steel through the tuyeres 3. At this time, the mixing ratios of the gaseous CO2 and the liquid CO2 are suitably determined according to the required flow rate of the gas. If a small flow rate of the gas is required, only the gaseous CO2 is blown. |
