PURPOSE:To subject a test piece to various compressions continuously with a high precision, by inserting various plate materials different in thickness into a gap between a movable roll and a fixed roll after the test piece is inserted between a pair of anvils. CONSTITUTION:An upper anvil 2 is fixed to the upper part of a gate-shaped stand 1, and a movable roll 6 is attached freely turnably to the lower end part of a lower anvil 3. Plate materials 10 corresponding to a required number of times of compression are arranged in order and prepared on a table 9 and are fed to the gap between the movable roll 6 and a fixed roll 7 by a pushing device 11. Then, since a height H of the rear end side of the wedge-shaped plate material 10 is longer than a gap S, the lower anvil 3 is pressed upward, and a test piece W is compressed. Next, the plate material having a longer height H is fed to the gap between rolls similarly to compress the test piece again. When plate materials corresponding to a required number of times of compression pass through the gap between rolls, the compression test is completed. Thus, the test piece is subjected to various compressions continuously with a comparatively simple device. |
