<p>PURPOSE:To always maintain good speed change characteristics by deciding a base point of changing timing of engine torque, using together a progressing condition judging means and a timer means. CONSTITUTION:When speed change is judged in ECU 40, the speed change command is output and simultaneously a timer is started. When need of engine torque change is judged (for example, when speed change shock is judged due to the throttle opening and vehicle speed over a prescribed value), it is judges whether judgement of beginning of torque change by monitoring of engine rotation is possible or not. This judgement is judged by that sped ratio of a torque converter is over a prescribed value or not, and at over the prescribed value, beginning timing of torque change is decided by engine rotation as variation of engine speed at speed change can be expected sufficiently large. Meanwhile, when beginning of torque change by engine rotation is difficult, a time point at which the timer confirms clapse of a prescribed time, is decided as beginning timing of torque change.</p> |
